It all began with an encounter of the two people. Mako Imaizumi, the founder of Washington Kikaku met Mariano Gonzalez, a young harpist from Paraguay in 1978. When she heard his soulful performance, she felt as though she had been struck by a bolt of lightening. She formed a company in Tokyo to promote him throughout Japan. She was a freelance journalist before and knew nothing about show business, however, the encounter caused her business ability to blossom as a booking agent. Washington Kikaku has increased the number of artists from South America and beyond. Specialized in Latin music, Washington Kikaku has been successfully booking and promoting incomparable artists from around the world for wide range of Events, Concerts, TV, Radio, Commercials, Hotel Dinner Show, and more.
In 1995, Washington Kikaku established the second office in Las Vegas, NV welcomed Executive Manager, Frenchy Charbonneau, the highly experienced agent in the U.S. Washington Kikaku is an official Booking Agent for American Federation of Musicians. This expansion opened the new door for the company and successfully booking the great North American musicians.
